Art Cart

Art Cart is a new volunteer-run program hoping to enhance patient-care, and reduce stress and boredom by providing inspiration, comfort, and diversion to patients at their bedside. 

The Canmore General Hospital’s wonderful volunteers were able to take time out of their busy day recently to trial the Art Cart on Acute Care. They are very excited for the program’s official launch in the new year. 

With the help of a generous donation from Bow Valley Basics, and the financial support from the Foundation, the volunteers started out with the following kits with hopes to expand their art cart offerings over time:

  • Colouring books and pencils

  • Sketching and drawing

Craft Kits

  • Key chains

Games Kits

  • Christmas word puzzle

  • Playing cards

Writing Kits

  • Journals

  • Writing cards
