The Foundation Celebrates 8-Year-Old Donor: Jack

we are excited to share the story of Jack: the Foundation’s youngest donor. Last year, Jack made a $100 contribution to the Foundation for the first time, a donation made with money he earned from his chores throughout the year. This year, Jack became a repeat donor, contributing $50 to the Canmore & Area Health Care Foundation and $50 to another local charity.

Welcoming Joy & Nostalgia In The Form Of Music: A Big Thank You

The Canmore & Area Health Care Foundation supports several incredible programs at the Canmore General Hospital through funding and spreading awareness. Among these programs is the newly named Crossway Music Therapy Program.

The Crossway Music Therapy Program is offered to Golden Eagle View Long-Term Care residents, individuals who live at the Canmore General Hospital full-time. Music is indescribably powerful; it brings people together, reaching beyond our differences in generation, culture, and geography to bond us in celebration and emotion. Music has the power to heal, uplift, and transport us to destinations in time, place, and feeling that we may otherwise be unable to access.

The Foundation’s Future Is ‘Very Bright:’ Getting To Know Our New Executive Director

The Canmore & Area Health Care Foundation was delighted to welcome Kristen Pauch-Nolin as our new Executive Director earlier this spring. Kristen has worked in the not for profit sector for over 25 years and she brings a deep-rooted understanding of how charitable organizations operate and why they are important. She is an artist and a teacher, as well, and she draws upon her creative skills and her aptitude for learning and sharing knowledge to add further value to her role. She is an incredible leader who values collaboration and the engagement of stakeholders in all projects, big and small.
