Mural Style Designs: Call For Submissions

Mural Style Designs: Call For Submissions — November 3 to December 3

Whether you have a child who loves to draw local scenes and people or you're an artist who'd love to donate a past print, we'd love to display your work on one of two concrete walls behind the hospital. This is a space we'd love to brighten up as tons of our local health care heroes eat lunch here on sunny days.

We're looking for pre-made art and will be paying for the installation and sizing/design costs. If you have a photo, piece of writing, drawing, design, or print you'd like to share, we'd love to see it. Selections will be announced in early-December. Thank you in advance for sharing your time and talent with your health care community.

The concrete wall sits at the back of the facility, a place where hospital staff takes their breaks on sunny days. Two designs will be selected for the now-empty spaces.

By submitting your design donation, you’re adding something special, uplifting, and from the heart to the lives of Canmore’s frontline workers. We know that donating money or time isn’t always feasible, and this is why we are overjoyed to give you an opportunity to share your talents and your pre-existing work with the community. We are accepting images from everyone in our community including artists and creatives and all mediums including photography, paintings and drawings, literary art, and any other form of art you would like to put forth. How To Submit

Submit an image of your work to info@canmorehealthfoundation.com along with a short message about its meaning and why you think it’s a great fit. Be sure to make the subject line “Design Submission.” Submissions will close on December 3 and the selection will be announced shortly after. Thank you in advance for sharing your time and talent with us and the rest of your community.

Selected creators will be interviewed and photographed with their artwork for a story on the Foundation’s blog.
