Our Story

On June 13, the Canmore & Area Health Care Foundation premiered two new videos to a packed room at their annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser at Silvertip Resorts.

The first video highlights the foundation’s support of equipment and renovations at the Canmore General Hospital, including ongoing improvements to the long-term care unit, the addition of new labour and delivery rooms, renovations to the cancer clinic.

While the second video demonstrates the impact of programming funded by the foundation, such a mindfulness program for those diagnosed with cancer, music therapy programs for long-term care residents, and the P.A.R.T.Y. Program which raises youth awareness about alcohol- and risk-related trauma.

According to Barb Shellian, Director Rural Health for Calgary Zone, the Foundation is a valued and very important partner for the Canmore General Hospital.

“We depend on their support. We value their support and their contributions that they have made and the volunteer work that they do in the community to raise funds for the hospital is greatly appreciated.”
